Urbanears launches Listen to yourself campaign in China

SHANGHAI, China — Oct. 18

Today, Scandinavian creative lifestyle brand Urbanears officially launches
its new campaign “Listen to yourself.” in China. A brand initiative created to empower creative minds and incubate fresh, artistic interpretation of its products, Urbanears invited digital influencer and girl power advocate Zhuzi to customize the Plattan 2 Bluetooth headphone, in its newest colour iteration, a dynamic and powerful Powder Pink.

Widely known for colourful and minimalist design details in Europe and the Americas, the newest Urbanears collaboration with Zhuzi marks its first campaign launch in China, which has been made extra special with the exclusive release of its newest seasonable colour, Powder Pink. While the global campaign kicked off in September in London, with a collaboration with the internationally renowned artist Tove Lo, the Urbanears creative universe will continue to expand with more inspiring partnerships with creative minds from Stockholm and Paris later this year.

Urbanears’ partnership with Zhuzi enabled her to creatively and artistically express herself through the customization of the brand’s signature headphone, the Platton 2 Bluetooth, a sleek wireless headphone, in a brand new colour way, Powder Pink.

“For me, the campaign was a great avenue to talk about what I am really passionate about, which is girl power, and reclaiming the colour pink to mean both something soft but also strong. The idea of Listen to yourself really spoke to me, because it is about listening to your inner voice and not letting the weight of social pressures stifle your inner ambitions or desires,” said Zhuzi.

“I wanted to remind myself and every girl and woman out there, we are all queens.”

Zhuzi was inspired to collaborate with Urbanears because music has always been a very important catalyst to hone her artistic energy and vision, and the use of headphones, a necessity in her daily work life as a director.

“In the video, I wanted my fans to get a very candid look at how I work as
a director, my creative process and what inspires me as an artist.” 

Zhuzhi customized the brand new Powder Pink Plattan 2 Bluetooth into a contemporary crown design with strong rose gold elements, fit for the queen inside every woman.

“‘Beyonce and modern warrior goddesses were my inspiration,” Zhuzi laughed. “If I could, I would wear my design every day, everywhere so my inner voice could literally be worn on the outside for everyone to hear!”
