​Rebecka assume the role as the new CEO of BLS Industries as from today’s date. Rebecka Spånberg has a Master of Science in Engineering and have worked in the group since 2010 and she have a great understanding of the group viewed from different perspectives e.g. Personnel, product development, production and the various brands’ strategic position now and what it takes to come.

Brands and names of operational units have been streamlined within the Purus Group. This means that the well-known and widely dispersed floor gullies, toilets and chrome-plated copper pipes will continue to be sold under the Purus, Jafo, Unidrain and Joti brands in the future. However, the industrial units, e.g. factories and logistics units, will go under the name of BLS Industries.

Purus' production company in Smålandsstenar, BLS Stainless AB, has started work on the installation of a new ABB Flexarc robotic welding cell. Initially the robot will replace an existing robotic welding cell designed for MIG welding of our popular toilet models V130, V131 and V135. Mikael Bard, site manager at BLS Stainless AB, expects the installation to be complete by the end of the year.

The Purus Group has decided to rationalise its brand names and the names of its operative units. This means that the well-known and widely used floor gullies, toilets and chrome-plated copper pipes will continue to be sold under the names Purus, Jafo and Unidrain. However, the industrial units, such as factories and logistics units, will now appear under the name BLS Industries.

Our philosophy is to make the gully a hidden feature of the bathroom interior. This is why we have further developed our previous Purus Square product from a square sieve with a patterned or coloured finish to a tile insert that allows you to lay the same tiles used in the rest of the bathroom floor. This new product, Purus Square Tile Insert, to keep it in line with our previous designed gullies.

We have identified a need for this type of channel, especially to lead water away from large areas in premises and buildings. In February and March 2014 Purus invested about 3.5 million SEK in expanded fleet. This includes to two injection moulding machines and a picking robot. Purus now has a fleet totalling more than 20 injection moulding machines, two of which are all-electric.
