EdTech pioneer Quizrr raises 1.2M USD to accelerate social accountability

Quizrr, an Edtech company offering digital training solutions to advance corporate responsibility and worker well-being, recently closed a 1.2M USD investment round to accelerate the transition to alternative digital solutions.

The pandemic has put a painful spotlight on the systemic inefficiencies of traditional compliance frameworks in global supply chains. Numerous reports have found audits and on-site assessment to be ineffective in capturing human rights abuses and validating that appropriate social and environmental accountability measures are in place. Alternative methods that leverage technology are now essential in creating systemic change.

As Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) agendas rapidly become business-critical topics, this investment round drew keen attention and was ultimately oversubscribed, pointing towards an increasing interest in social sustainability from today’s investors. The additional capital enables Quizrr to continue to address problematic social issues and fuel positive social growth at all levels in global supply chains with their training platform.

Welcoming Artax Invest as lead investor, Quizrr has strengthened ties with social impact investors that believe education is the greatest equalizer of all.

I aim to invest where real change can be created for local communities, and I am grateful to be able to support Quizrr’s journey moving forward.” – Mimmi Brandberg, Artax Invest

The platform uses engaging training programs to enable efficient scaling of knowledge to workforces in global supply chains, including topics ranging from basic rights, occupational health and safety to dealing with Covid-19 crisis in the workplace.

The interactions with the platform aggregates data used to provide instant insights that empower companies to take appropriate action. The platform’s learning methodology is evidence-based and provides an impactful pathway to solve the mounting challenges of traditional supply chain governance practices.

I’m happy to see continued confidence in our ability to scale our unique platform to reach more people with relevant knowledge on basic human rights. Having entered five new markets so far in 2021, and four yet to cover, this capital enables us to put our fastest foot forward and create true impact for workers worldwide.” – Erika Wennerström, CEO Quizrr

Quizrr’s EdTech software does not only include tools reaching all the way to factory floors, but also addresses the need for preventive actions in migrant worker corridors across Asia. The training platform brings knowledge to migrant workers on their rights and ethical recruitment, minimizing the risk of human exploitation.

Our work to address the millions of migrant workers around the world on ethical recruitment practices is a strong testament to the transformative movement of social compliance; one I believe will only continue to grow.” – Erika Wennerström, CEO Quizrr

As companies’ social performance rapidly emerges as a core risk area to understand, mitigate and make transparent in the wake of the pandemic, investors look to improve their contribution to ESG efforts. This is a major win for workplaces around the world, and for the companies leading the way towards improved conditions for workers everywhere.
