  • Recycled phosphorus is now being tested as feed phosphate

    In January, a new project was started to test the precipitated calcium phosphate (PCP) recovered from Ragn-Sells innovation company EasyMining's Ash2Phos technology. The project is a collaboration between EasyMining, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and Lantmännen.

  • Construction of a new plant takes shape

    Nine months after construction began, and despite the corona pandemic, the construction of a new Ash2Salt-plant is proceeding well and according to plan.

  • Ragn-Sells’ way of solving the oil shale ash quest in Estonia

    Estonia is mining 15 million tons of this brown rock per year and is left with 7 million tons of ash annually after burning it for obtaining energy. Less than a year after the Oil Shale Ash project started, the team has already filed two patent applications on how oil shale ash can be upcycled, instead of piling it as waste.

  • Sustainable leaching of gold made possible with new technology

    The innovation company Chromafora is developing a method for leaching and separating gold from primary ore and electronic waste. The main difference from conventional cyanide leaching is that the direct danger to the working environment and the actual environment is reduced. In addition, the permit process is simplified with the new technology, which opens up for establishing new facilities.

  • Ash2Phos technology will be implemented in Germany

    Gelsenwasser and Ragn-Sells innovation company EasyMining have together developed a concept for operating the Ash2Phos-process, and will now start working on the first Ash2Phos recovery plant in Germany.

  • Ragn-Sells join “1.5°C Supply Chain Leaders”

    The environmental company Ragn-Sells, together with Nestlé and Telefónica, has announced that they have joined the 1.5°C Supply Chain Leaders’ group. That means that Ragn-Sells now, in company of other global corporations like Ericsson, IKEA, Telia, BT Group and Unilever, are committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions across their value chain, in line with the 1.5°C ambition.

  • Ragn-Sells and EasyMining participates in EAT’s digital event EAT@Home on December 17

    Ragn-Sells innovation company EasyMining has developed solutions for detoxifying and recirculating both phosphorus and nitrogen with a low carbon footprint. The challenge is that these recycled products cannot be used with current EU-legislation. On that topic, Pär Larshans, Ragn-Sells, and Anna Lundbom, EasyMining, will on December 17 participate in EAT’s digital event EAT@Home.
