7th Annual Swedish-American Life Science Summit

Fred Hassan, Chairman of Bausch + Lomb and former CEO of Pharmacia, returns to Sweden to deliver a keynote address on the importance of innovation in ophthalmology. Stockholm, Sweden, August 22, 2011. The Swedish-American Life Science Summit (SALSS), of many considered the global life science industry’s most influential meeting point, announced today that this year’s Summit will focus on exciting improvements in treating disease through novel uses of engineering and science.

Swedish speakers at the conference will include Dr. Christina Åkerman, Director General of the Swedish Medical Products Agency and Dr. Mathias Uhlén, renowned scientist and Professor of Microbiology at Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology.
