The best starting point to explore Lund

The presence of the ever-expanding Medicon Village, Ideon Science Park, Lund University and the university hospital makes Lund an important meeting place for medical researchers from all over the world. A great place to meet up and to stay is the Radisson Blu hotel, just a short walk from both Ideon Science Park and the city centre.

Lund is the second oldest city in Sweden. There is a lot of interesting history to be explored here, and not least when it comes to medical advancement with many novel therapies developed by researchers in Lund.

A lot of expertise dates back several decades and to the days of AstraZeneca. When the global pharmaceutical giant left Lund, the expertise remained and founded today’s Medicon Village. Now, 20 years later, Medicon Village is one Scandinavia’s most renowned Life Science clusters. Needless to say, this brings a lot of interest to visit and explore the city of Lund.

“I would say that with our three very different hotel facilities in Lund, that is the Radisson Blu Hotel, the Good Morning hotel and the Motel L, we can offer the best starting point for anyone visiting Lund, for any purpose”, says Hannah Forsberg, Sales Manager at Ligula Hospitality Group, owners of Radisson Blu Lund, Good Morning Lund and Motel L, as well as a number of other hotels in various locations all over Sweden.

More than a great location

It is not just the location of Radisson Blu hotel that is of great advantage. The hotel also provides great facilities for professional and formal meetings, with seven conference rooms of various sizes and room for up to 100 participants. With a business center, breakout space, on-site parking and catering – any event is easy to plan at Radisson Blu hotel.

“We have our own event coordinators on site. This is a great advantage to our customers. They get assistance all the way during the event planning process, during the event, and even after as we can provide a range of team-building activities to round off the conference and make it even more memorable”, asserts Hannah Forsberg.

One of the most important aspects of any successful meeting is a great culinary experience. At Radisson Blu hotel there is an all-day dining restaurant which serves many Swedish favourites but with an international twist. The lounge bar also provides a co-working area, a perfect meeting place after the conference or event for example.

The hotel’s gym is available to all guests, as well as the rejuvenating sauna on site. On top of all that, stunning views of Lund, Malmö, and Copenhagen as well as the Öresund Bridge await from the top floors.

So many possibilities

Radisson Blu Hotel is one of Lund’s biggest hotels, with 192 rooms and generous meeting facilities. Ligula’s other two hotels, Good Morning hotel and Motel L, completes the offer in Lund with a different approach – still with great service, best location and easy access – but with more focus on “on the road travel” and leisure stays.

The Ligula Hospitality Group, on the whole, offers a great starting point with so many possibilities in Lund.
