Lights in Alingsås is one of the finalists in (d)arc awards
Lights in Alingsås is one of the finalists of the category Event in (d)arc awards.
The organizer is the international magazine arc magazine, which is one of the world's most widely read and respected lighting design publications.
Each year designers and companies compete in the following categories: Structure, Places, Spaces, Art, Event and Kit.
Only lighting designers, light artists, interior designers and architects are eligible to vote and you cannot vote on your own contribution.
The Event category refers to any temporary event or temporary collection of installations where the main medium of expression is light (such as festivals of light, workshops or guerrilla lighting events).
Among the 12 contributions in the Event category, Lights in Alingsås is now on the top 5 list, after the voting ended November 15.
“We are very proud that vi are one of the finalists. It shows how big Lights in Alingsås is in the industry and that it has spread throughout the world during the 20 years the event has been arranged", says Margaretha Stenmark, lighting designer at Alingsås Energi.
The winners in each category is announced during (d)arc night in London December 5, 2019.

About Lights in Alingsås
During the event Alingsås is alive with activity, and in recent years Lights in Alingsås has resulted in over 70,000 visits to the town in October. The lighting festival is an important international meeting place for lighting designers, students and companies. Since 2018, Lights in Alingsås has been run by Alingsås Energi.
