Get the latest updates from Moody´s at Åre Business Forum
Will it be a "No-deal Brexit" on 29th of March and what will happen in the US? This and other interesting topics will be on the agenda when Colin Ellis from Moody´s Investors Service in London will give us the latest macro and credit trend insights at Åre Business Forum 27-29th of March.
Colin Ellis is Moody’s Chief Credit Officer for EMEA, responsible for identifying and analyzing the broad macro and credit trends, and leading and coordinating Moody’s ratings approach, across rating franchises in the region. In practice, this means leading work on issues such as Brexit, Turkey’s recent financial instability, and also global issues such as the Libor/benchmark replacement issue.
“Brexit presents challenges for a range of issuers; but a ‘no-deal’ Brexit, where the UK leaves the EU without any withdrawal agreement or transition period, would have negative credit implications for many issuers,” said Dr. Ellis.
“The UK parliament’s emphatic rejection of Prime Minister May’s negotiated agreement further extends the uncertainty around the UK’s future relationship with the EU; but a wide range of outcomes remains possible.”
