Max Hallén is appointed new CEO of The Astrid Lindgren Company
Max Hallén will take over as the new CEO of The Astrid Lindgren Company after the turn of the year, succeeding current CEO Cilla Nergårdh, who is now moving on to new professional challenges while also taking a seat on the company's board. Max Hallén comes directly from the production company Miso Film, where he has had a similar role.
The Astrid Lindgren Company manages all the rights to Astrid Lindgren’s works and is tasked with spreading and protecting Astrid Lindgren's (who passed away in 2002) literary legacy worldwide. The company is proactively involved in the development of the rights portfolio and currently has 17 employees at the office in Stockholm.

At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to Cilla Nergårdh for the fantastic work she has carried out during her years as CEO with us”, says Nils Nyman, chairman of the board of The Astrid Lindgren Company and the author's grandson.
