The Astrid Lindgren Company Hires Karin Winther for Global Digital Expansion
The Astrid Lindgren Company has recruited Karin Winther as Director of Digital & Expansion, a newly created role focused on the company’s next phase of digital growth. Winther will lead the company’s digital strategy and develop new ways for Astrid Lindgren’s characters, including Pippi Longstocking and Emil in Lönneberga, to meet audiences across digital platforms and media. The appointment is part of a long-term global initiative to develop the company’s rights portfolio while safeguarding and sharing Astrid Lindgren’s authorship internationally.
Winther brings experience from the intersection of young audiences, storytelling, digital transformation and emerging technologies. She has worked with Spotify, H&M, Sony Music, Pophouse, SVT and TikTok. She has been named one of Sweden’s 99 leading women in tech and marketing.
The Astrid Lindgren Company manages all rights to Astrid Lindgren’s works. The company is based in Stockholm and has 17 employees.
