Welcome to cover the 2023 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award Ceremony

On Tuesday, May 2, the American author Laurie Halse Anderson will receive the 2023 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award at Konserthuset in Stockholm. The award diploma will be presented by HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

Time: Tuesday, May 2 at 18-19 CET. The seats must be taken at latest 17:45.
Place: Konserthuset, Stockholm

During a grand evening, we celebrate Laurie Halse Anderson and her authorship. The evening is also the start of IFACCA 9th World Summit on Arts and Culture 2023, which takes place in Stockholm May 3–5. The host of the evening is Josette Bushnell Mingo.

Laurie Halse Anderson is one of America’s foremost writers for young adults. Her breakthrough novel, Speak, was published in 1999 and has been translated into many languages and adapted for film. In her richly expressive novels for young people she gives voice to the adolescent experience with sometimes brutal honesty. The yearning for love and belonging is a recurring theme for Anderson. The 9th World Summit on Arts and Culture  
The World Summit on Arts and Culture is organised by the International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultvure Agencies (IFACCA) in partnership with The Swedish Arts Council.
