AxFlow Holding AB Acquires Danish PHE Nordic A/S

AxFlow Holding AB has acquired PHE Nordic A/S, a Danish-based specialist in spare parts and repair & maintenance services for plate heat exchangers and freshwater generators.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Nr. Aaby, Denmark, PHE Nordic has established itself as a trusted service partner within the heat exchanger aftermarket, particularly in the maritime sector, while also serving customers in the offshore, power generation, navy, and general industries. The company supplies both OEM and high-quality non-OEM spare parts, supported by comprehensive repair, refurbishment and cleaning services delivered to the highest industry standards.

PHE Nordic serves more than 500 active customers across 53 countries, with its largest markets in Germany, Denmark and Norway. The company operates a high-capacity service and cleaning facility, employing 25 people across Denmark, Spain, and Singapore.

Through a well-established international supply chain, PHE Nordic offers its own-branded non-OEM plates and gaskets manufactured from fully traceable materials under approved conditions, meeting OEM specifications. All products are subject to the company’s own quality assurance processes, ensuring reliability for customers operating in demanding environments.

Ole Weiner, Managing Director, AxFlow Holding AB, said:
“PHE Nordic significantly strengthens our customer service offering within plate heat exchangers. Their capabilities in high-quality plate cleaning, re-gasketing and refurbishment, combined with fast response times, are highly valued by customers operating in critical processes. This acquisition allows us to expand these services across more markets while supporting a more circular business model built on repair, maintenance and extended equipment lifetime. It also provides an attractive entry point into the maritime industry, characterised by high service frequency and long-term customer relationships.”

Peter Rønnehave, Board Chair and owner of PHE Nordic A/S, commented:
“Over many years, PHE Nordic has built a strong brand, deep technical expertise and a loyal international customer base. To take the next step in our development, it was important to find a partner with the scale, industrial understanding and long-term perspective to support continued growth.”

Mette Rønnehave, CEO and co-founder of PHE Nordic A/S, commented:
“This acquisition marks an important milestone for PHE Nordic. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition for our customers, partners and employees, with full continuity in our daily operations and service delivery. With AxFlow as our new owner, we gain a strong platform for further investment in customer service, capacity and capabilities, while expanding our reach into new markets. This creates exciting opportunities to strengthen our offering and continue delivering the high-quality, responsive service that our customers rely on.”
