Italian GMM Group Strengthens Its Service Offering with the Acquisition of KCM Srl.

GMM Group, part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Power Transmission Solutions, acquires Italian service specialist KCM Srl. This acquisition is an important step for GMM in becoming a full-range provider for ceramic tile customers, offering power transmission products and services throughout the production process. KCM is known for its industrial service know-how which will add new expertise to the group, securing GMM’s in-house service offering.

KCM is a service-focused company located in Casalgrande, in the Emilia-Romagna region, a region known for its ceramic tile industry. The company specializes in maintenance services for specific machines used in ceramic tile production, such as polishing, squaring, and cutting equipment, as well as the regeneration of finishing lines machinery and components.

Founded in 2015, KCM has built a solid reputation over the years thanks to its high level of customer service and dedicated staff. With a customer base similar to GMM’s, the addition of KCM gives a great possibility to further strengthen service sales at ceramic key accounts.

“Sustainability is a strategic key focus for GMM and improving production energy efficiency by offering service and maintenance is an integral part of our sustainable business model. The addition of KCM to our group aligns with our strategic plan to strengthen our presence in the ceramic tile industry by extended maintenance services,” says Luca Milani, Managing Director of GMM Group.
