The company is known for its extensive range of core power transmission products, along with a market-leading expertise in linear technology. Avans was originally founded 35 years ago in Västerås, Sweden, where it still has its head office. Together with well-known suppliers, Avans serves a strong and diverse customer base in a variety of industries, including transportation, manufacturing, energy, and industrial engineering. Avans holds a unique market position in the Nordics with its high technical competence in linear solutions, which is complementing Nomo’s existing business and opens to expand market reach and grow within new industry segments.
“I’m very happy to welcome this group of knowledgeable, highly skilled and passionate people to our team. With a strong linear motion and automation offering, Avans Linjärteknik is the perfect fit to Nomo, allowing us to improve our position on the market and reach new customers. Having access to their valuable expertise is crucial for us to grow within the linear motion and industrial automation segments. With this acquisition we also strengthen our position in the Swedish MRO market with the team from Avans Maskintillbehör,” says Henrik Walter, CEO of Nomo Group.
Over the years, Avans has grown and expanded its presence outside of Sweden, serving customers in Norway, Finland and Italy with an increasing demand from other European markets.
