The Forankra Group has Acquired a Majority Share in NWE Network Engineering in Finland

The Forankra Group, a leading European provider of cargo securing products and solutions and part of Axel Johnson International’s Transport Solutions business group, has acquired NWE Network Engineering Oy Ab. Based in Finland, NWE is a leading manufacturer and supplier of cargo securing systems. Through the acquisition, Forankra strengthens its presence in the Finnish market and broadens the group’s product portfolio within cargo securing solutions.

Founded in 1994 as a family-owned business, NWE has built a strong market presence with automated, semi-automated and manual cargo securing systems but also loading solutions as well as providing auto-body material for the Finnish body builder market. The cargo securing system is their own-developed FIX range, such as Truck-Safe® – an automated and patented cargo-securing system that allows cargo to be quickly and securely lashed at the push of a button. They also provide manual cargo securing products through FIX Strap®, FIX Road® and FIX Marine®.
