HII LEE, WHO ARE YOU?
– My name is Lee Yuan Tu, born and raised in Taiwan. I graduated from Taipei National University of Art - Dance department.

WHAT MADE YOU become a dancer?
– At first I became a dancer just to burn out my super extra energy so I can sleep good at night. But now I understand that I choose to become a dancer because I love it. And currently I dance with the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.

WHAT DO YOU want to achieve as an artist?
– My goal as artist, is to bring the joy to people who come to the theater – or certain feelings or to reflect their life on it.

WHAT MAKES YOU feel good?
– I think bubble tea makes me feel great. Bubble tea is the link to my home, so I'm not too far from home in my heart.

AND YOUR DREAM in life?
My dream is to have my own family and have a peaceful life.

WHEN DO YOU feel invincible?
– Each moment that I'm in my dancing and forget the rest is my best moment.

IS THERE SOMETHING you'd like to develop?
– I want to develop more ways to express myself, like playing music or painting. So I'm learning to play the piano and drawing by myself.

HOW DO YOU look at classical ballet versus modern dance?
– I think the original purpose of dance is to make people happy and express yourself. It’s just the way it is presented that is different. If ballet is the art of history, then modern dance is becoming art of history for me.
