Swedish AI Firm Batonics Enters MoU with Singapore's GAO Capital to develop Quant Research Infra for Proprietary Trading Algorithms

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – June 2025 – Batonics AB, the Swedish artificial intelligence company developing automated investment analysis platforms, today announced a strategic pilot partnership with Singapore-based GAO Capital Pte. Ltd. to create AI-native trading capabilities and assist with quantitative research.

The pilot will target discovery of high-return strategies using AI-powered market microstructure analysis

The collaboration will integrate Batonics' Loha AI research platform with GAO Capital's multi-strategy operations, focusing on microstructure analysis and automated strategy discovery across energy and equity futures markets. GAO Capital is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and won the HFM & Eurekahedge Best Asia ex-Japan award in 2022.

The pilot program will discover, backtest, and validate custom trading algorithms using market microstructure analysis. Among other experiments and research, Batonics will architect novel 'evolutionary AI' mechanisms that dynamically learn and capture patterns while enabling sustainable strategy evolution as older strategies vanish. This approach enables C-suite management to maintain operational efficiency and oversight while reducing middle-layer dependencies.

The research capabilities are specifically designed to target strategies achieving high Sharpe ratios, quick idea-to-exectuion cycles for cost-effecient alpha, scalability across instrument types, , to position GAO Capital at the forefront of Asia's quant and data-driven institutional finance landscape.

The partnership represents Batonics' expansion into the institutional quant market following successful deployments with European real estate and credit managers.

Following the initial pilot, the companies may pursue deeper strategic arrangements including technology licensing, joint ventures, or equity investment structures.
