Dat Danh – Timeline
With my project I have investigated my family ties. The point of departure has been the term “timeline” divided into three periods: the oriental dynasties, my father’s flight from Vietnam and my own childhood in the suburbs in Sweden.
My collection balances between the two cultures that I have grown up with: Vietnamese and Swedish. In my project I have been inspired by historical references in order to design garments for present and future use. Choice of colour, form and materials create a bridge between two continents.
