Predicting the future can be a way to produce history. Old and new sci-fi movies present potential futures, realistically or fantastically. But whether the emphasis is on scientific plausibility or on fantasy worlds, these films most certainly reflect the time when they were created.
Inspired by sci-fi movies, I have created a collection with my take on these speculations about the future.
