Interlude – Beckmans College of Design at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023

Beckmans College of Design presents six design collaborations at Stockholm Furniture Fair February 7-11.

Interlude
With six projects — that involve questions regarding what inclusive design is and can be, that are locally produced, with considered and carefully processed details and a conscious use of materials—the students show a concern for the individual and an interest in our environment as well as in the urgency of our times. In this year’s choices we notice a yearn for the abiding, the original, the simple and the honest, values that are becoming more and more meaningful in an increasingly troubled world

- We are incredibly grateful for the collaboration with some of Sweden’s leading furniture producers. With their professionalism, their knowledge, craftsmanship and generosity they have provided our students with invaluable insight into the entire design and manufacturing procedure, says Morgan Rudberg, tutor at the design programme at Beckmans College of Design.

Talks - Process and Production
On February 8 at 14:00-14:25 PM you are invited to a conversation in the Greenhouse Bar by Nola. The students will share their stories, processes and experiences of collaborating together with G.A.D, Gärsnäs, Johanson Design, Lammhults, NC Nordic Care and Storängen. The talk will be held in English.
