I morgon är det dags för mode och inspirationseventet FashionDAYS. Programmet är fullsatt med 71 aktiviteter, alla en anledning att besöka Textile Fashion Center på fredag och lördag.

Logan Hicks brings advanced stencil art to No Limit Borås
Logan Hicks is a New York-based artist known for his photorealistic stenciled paintings. Studying at the Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art in the early 1990s, Hicks cut his teeth as a successful screen printer, before being inspired to branch into stencils.

Flera nyheter för årets hittaut.nu
Populära hittaut.nu växer för varje år. Projektet innefattar i dagsläget 16 orter och har blivit en stor succé på samtliga. Den stora kartan släpps även i år traditionsenligt under Linnémarschhelgen, den 25-26 april.

10 konstvandringar varje helg i kulturstaden Borås
Varje helg under perioden 18 april till 7 juni erbjuder kulturstaden Borås tio konstvandringar med alltifrån street art, skulpturer, arkitektur, textil och måleri till pop- och fotokonst. Det är Abecita Konstmuseum, Borås Konstmuseum, No Limit Street Art, Textilmuseet och Textile Fashion Center som nu tar ett samlat grepp under rubriken ”Staden som galleri”.

Program för Sommartorsdagarna® 2015
rots 26 år på nacken presenterar Sommartorsdagarna® i år sju stycken akter som aldrig tidigare stått på Sommartorsdagarnas scen! Programmet är en härlig blandning mellan melodifestival, svensk hip-hop och starka kvinnliga artister. ”Nytt på Sommartorsdagarnas scen” var ett ledord i årets bokningsarbete som en motvikt till förra årets 25-årsjubiluem.

Small figurine pieces of Joe Iurato will decorate No Limit Borås
Joe uses layers of hand cut paper and spray paint to create texture and form - a modern adaptation of an old-fashioned printing process. His art is nothing more than the exploration and documentation of personal experiences. These are his stories and how he choose to tell them. The site-specific placements of the pieces often utilize the urban environment to complete their narratives.

FashionDAYS 2015 ger dig 64 anledningar till varför du ska vara på plats i Textile Fashion Center den 24-25 april. Programmet är nu släppt på www.fashiondays.nu och har i dagsläget 64 aktiviteter, men mer kommer det att bli!

O-Ringenskolan lär Boråsregionen att orientera
Inför O-Ringen i Borås sommaren 2015 gör nu funktionärsföreningarna en storsatsning kring att locka fler till sporten och engagera nybörjare i sommarens tävlingar. Vid dryga tiotalet tillfällen under vår och försommar erbjuds prova på och utbildning runt om i Boråsregionen.

No Limit Street Art Borås var en succé 2014 när 11 internationellt kända konstnärer målade väggar runt om i staden. Nu blir No Limit tillgängligt för världen på ett nytt sätt när Google Cultural Institute samlar verken online.

Chilean muralist Inti to No Limit Street Art Borås
Muralist devoted to street art, specifically to graffiti, since age 15. In parallel he studied at the Fine Arts School of Viña del Mar. Despite criticism from detractors of artistic expression in public spaces, his works won a space on the streets and buildings of Valparaiso, first, and then in cities all over the world.

Populära Hittaut.nu blir del av O-Ringen 2015 i Borås
Hittaut.nu har de senaste åren blivit en populär och spännande friskvårdsaktivitet på de orter där konceptet lanserats. Trots att det handlar om kartor och ”kontroller” i form av checkpoints har drygt 70% av deltagarna ingen tidigare koppling till orienteringssporten. Nu lockar O-Ringen 2015 i Borås med en öppen klass för de som gillar upplägget med hittaut.

Canadian Laurence Vallières adds a new dimension to No Limit Street Art Borås
Born in Québec city in 1986 this young artist was discovered by the creation of large-scale sculptures in cardboard. She studied at Concordia University in visual arts before doing an exchange program in Los Angeles to further her knowledge in ceramics. It’s only after graduation and doing an artist residency in Russia that she appropriated the street art influence in her work.

Mexican artist Curiot adds sparkling colours to No Limit Street Art Borås
Mexican artist Curiot creates vibrant mythical beasts blending human and animal forms, which allude to Mexican handcrafts and folk art. The works are highly detailed, rich in colour, symbolic and mystic. Inspired from Pre-Hispanic cultures, nature and urban contemporaneity, Curiot explores the relationship between man and nature.

Polish muralist, painter and animator, Robert Proch is the second artist in our presentation of the line up for No Limit Street Art Borås 2015. Robert, born 1986 in Bydgoszcz Poland, currently lives and works in Poznan, Poland.

Green chalk monsters and flying pigs – David Zinn, first artist out for No Limit Street Art Borås 2015
First artist out for No Limit Street Art Borås, Sweden is David Zinn, a self-taught artist living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His small-scale fanciful creatures, often including a stalk-eyed green monster and a flying pig, are generally improvised on the street using chalk, charcoal and found objects.
