Carmenta and Airbus Extend Frame Agreement to Strengthen Long-Term Global Collaboration
Carmenta, a leading provider of geospatial technologies, is pleased to announce the extension of its frame agreement with Airbus Defence and Space. Under this agreement, Carmenta will continue to provide its geospatial technologies to support Airbus entities worldwide, solidifying the strong partnership between the two companies.
The frame agreement was formally signed today at a ceremony in Ottobrunn, Germany. Since the initial signing ten years ago, in 2014, the partnership has resulted in advanced geospatial functionality across various mission support systems for aircraft, helicopters and drones. These systems include platforms such as the A400M, A330 MRTT, Eurofighter, C-295, Tiger and Eurodrone.
“We are delighted to extend our frame agreement with Airbus Defence and Space , ensuring the continued delivery of innovative geospatial capabilities for Airbus leading air platforms”, said Torbjörn Lönnqvist, CEO at Carmenta. “These solutions play an important role in current programs, while also contributing to groundbreaking future defense programs like the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). The focus is on advancing Human-Machine Interface technologies and supporting autonomy in both manned and unmanned systems.”
