Carryline startades 1963 av Ulf Henrekson som tidigare jobbat som konsult/teknisk chef i frågor som rörde materialhantering. Som den förste i världen kom han på idén att byta ut transportörer i stål mot aluminiumskenor med en plastkedja i. Enligt mekano-principen byggs ett antal grundenheter ihop till ett transportörsystem.
Tillverkningen tog fart under 70-talet i Kungälv. Något senare upptäcktes systemet av SKF och andra tillverkande företag som såg fördelarna med att använda transportörer mellan sina maskiner.
Med egen utveckling, egen tillverkning, effektiv logistik och återförsäljare över hela världen är Carryline en av de ledande aktörerna på marknaden.
Efter snart 60 år drivs Carryline fortfarande som familjeföretag.
