Chalmers Ventures investerar i Arkeon Technologies som utvecklar nyckelteknik för mer tillförlitliga kvantchip

Chalmers Ventures investerar i Göteborgsbaserade Arkeon Technologies tillsammans med Navigare Ventures och Almi Invest i en runda om totalt 6,5 miljoner kronor. Investeringen riktas mot en teknik som kan bidra till att öka precisionen och kvaliteten i produktionen av kvantchip.

Arkeon Technologies, grundat 2025, utvecklar en metod för att justera qubitars frekvenser efter tillverkning. Små variationer i produktionen kan annars göra att kvantchip inte presterar som tänkt, vilket påverkar både noggrannhet och utbyte. Genom att finjustera varje chip i efterhand vill bolaget skapa mer stabila och reproducerbara system.

När kvantprocessorer växer i komplexitet ställs allt högre krav på exakthet i varje komponent. Arkeons lösning innebär att varje chip kan trimmas individuellt efter produktion, vilket öppnar för bättre prestanda och lägre kostnader i tillverkningen.

– Arkeon tar sig an ett tydligt problem som hela kvantindustrin brottas med i nästa steg. Det som särskiljer bolaget är kombinationen av vass innovation, ett konkret användningsområde och tidiga signaler från marknaden. Bolagets initiala fokus är marknaden för supraledande kvantprocessorer. Där möter Arkeon både industriella aktörer och forskningsinstitut som står inför liknande utmaningar när systemen ska skalas upp. I dag har bolaget avsiktsförklaringar från flera potentiella kunder och en pipeline om cirka 30 bolag.

– Vi ser ett tydligt intresse för den här typen av lösning. När kvantchippen blir större ökar behovet av att kunna justera och optimera dem utan att behöva ändra hela tillverkningsprocessen. Med kapitalet från den här rundan kan vi både driva den tekniska utvecklingen framåt och fördjupa dialogen med kunder, säger Peter Hörstedt, vd och medgrundare av Arkeon Technologies.

Chalmers Ventures invests in Arkeon Technologies to advance precision in quantum chip production

Chalmers Ventures is investing in Gothenburg-based Arkeon Technologies alongside Navigare Ventures and Almi Invest in a funding round totaling SEK 6.5 million. The investment supports a technology designed to improve precision and quality in the production of quantum chips.

Founded in 2025, Arkeon Technologies is developing a method to adjust qubit frequencies after fabrication. Small variations in production can otherwise lead to chips not performing as intended, impacting both accuracy and yield. By fine-tuning each chip post-production, the company aims to create more stable and reproducible systems.

As quantum processors increase in complexity, the demands on precision in every component continue to rise. Arkeon’s approach enables individual tuning of each chip after manufacturing, opening the door to improved performance and lower production costs.

“Arkeon is addressing a clear challenge that the quantum industry faces in its next phase. What stands out is the combination of smart and advanced innovation, a defined use case, and early market interest. The company’s initial focus is the market for superconducting quantum processors, where both industrial players and leading research institutions are working to scale increasingly complex systems. Arkeon currently has letters of intent from several potential customers and a pipeline of approximately 30 companies.
