Contemporary Circus Show "Knitting Peace" to Tour Netherlands, Germany, France and Austria
Cirkus Cirkör's critically acclaimed contemporary circus show Knitting Peace is set to tour four European countries this fall. The performance, which has been touring since 2013, continues to play in sold-out theatres and festival tents worldwide, captivating audiences with its unique blend of physical skill, poetry, and art.
In light of the ongoing war in Europe, Knitting Peace's themes never cease to engage. Scientists believe that striving for something better is what keeps us alive. The worst-case scenario would be to achieve our goals without finding something new to pursue. Is the pursuit of an impossibility the way to happiness? Is to strive for peace on earth, to strive for the impossible? The show's artists create a magically beautiful world of ropes and yarns, weaving together a poetic and powerful quest for peace and understanding.
"We are thrilled to bring Knitting Peace to audiences in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Austria. With an ongoing war so nearby, we hope that our performance can gather its audiences to reflect on how peace can be achieved, and if the effort itself can make a difference," says Cirkus Cirkör's CEO Kajsa Giertz.
"Knitting Peace" will visit the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Austria, with performances scheduled throughout the fall. Audiences can expect to indulge in a powerful quest for peace and understanding, all woven together with enigmatic music, balance acts and breathtaking acrobatics.
Reviews
"An aesthetic whole, a well-composed visual poem, executed with scenic, contemplative calm."

"Physical skill in combination with beautiful poetry creates fantastic art."
- El País
"Breakneck poetry in a homespun world. A charming and sympathetic work where the whole trumps the individual efforts – like stitches in a knitted piece."
