Done doubles its revenue and shifts focus towards green installations in a new strategic direction

Done, the Swedish startup in installation services, announces that they have doubled their turnover for the second consecutive year, reaching a total of 18.5 million SEK for 2023. Simultaneously, the company is undergoing a strategic shift and are now focusing on green installations. This transition also led to an over-subscribed investment round at the end of 2023, despite the current challenging investment climate.

Previously offering a wide range of craftsmanship services such as painting and carpentry, Done has now shifted its focus to meet growing demands in electrical and plumbing installations, with partnerships in green installations generating growth. These partnerships involve collaborations with retailers in electric car charging boxes, battery storage, solar panels, and air heat pumps.

Through its network of installers and technology platform, Done's role in these partnerships is to handle the installations. The technology platform and app enable seamless communication between the customer, installer, and partner, and facilitate the entire process from planning, payment, reporting, and support.

Done has now established itself as a central player in the installation of electric car charging boxes, currently holding 5% of the market for home charging box installations in Sweden.

“Through Done's platform, we achieve scalability and efficiency in our sales of electric car charging boxes, and can offer installations with short lead times nationwide,” says Niklas Gran, CEO of Laddboxbolaget, one of Done's partners.

"Our decision to specialize in electrical and plumbing with a focus on green installations has proven to be the right path forward and a perfect match for our technology platform," says Alek Åström, interim CEO of Done. “Installation is often the bottleneck when consumers want to make their homes more energy-efficient, and a headache for retailers. Just as the map for last-mile logistics has been redrawn in recent years, we are here to make qualified installations more simple and efficient.”

Done was quickly over-subscribed in the latest investment round that closed at the end of 2023, where the company raised 4.5 million SEK from, among others, previous shareholders such as Almi Invest, as well as RadCap Ventures and Bling Capital.

Done plans to continue expanding its presence in the energy transition during 2024. This includes not only strengthening its position within the Swedish market but also internationally.

“The focus in the near term is on expanding through more partnerships and becoming the leading player in Nordics within installations for the energy transition. At the same time, the needs are increasing in the rest of Europe, and we aim to step beyond our national borders soon," says Alek Åström, interim CEO of Done.
