C Supply - DSM2023 Silver Sponsor

Interview with Inga-Lill Nilsson, CEO, C Supply

C Supply supports DSM2023 as Silver Sponsor. What contributed to make this decision?
DSM is an important event for C Supply AB, not only for networking, but we also want to contribute to and develop a good community within shipping. It was therefore an easy decision for C Supply to contribute as a silver sponsor, so that DSM can be hosted also in the future.

What are your expectations for DSM2023
An important part of DSM is of course meeting both old and new customers, but DSM has also every time so far offered many wonderful memories.

What is your best memory from DSM2022?
I would probably say that DSM feels more festive than other exhibitions, which usually makes for a good time.

What do you find are the opportunities and the biggest challenges in the Shipping Industry today?
One major challenge is the transition to more sustainable shipping and the increasing demands that comes with this also affects us suppliers. Thinking ahead of how we can contribute to the environment and sustainable shipping are likely going to create possibilities in the future.

How would you describe DSM in one word?
Teamwork

And finally, what is your best maritime memory?
One of my best martime memoeries are from when I was kid. Inspired by Börjesson's Sea Taxi on Donsö, we played sea taxi and rowed around with skiffs and barges among islands, jetties and piers and paid with shells and fine stones. The most expensive route was to go to Donsö pier and it could take some time before you were able to get picked up again. The cheapest route were to go to a pole and hanging on to it, which usually ended with you having to swim ashore.

A meeting place for the maritime cluster. DSM2025, September 1-3, 2025.

Donsö Shipping Meet started in 2009 and take place every other year on the island of Donsö, in the southern part of the archipelago of Gothenburg, Sweden. Delegates from all over the world gather on the island eager to discuss shipping and shipping-related topics. A meeting place for the maritime cluster, Donsö Shipping Meet is a lively, friendly event that provides a range of opportunities for making new connections.

The place to be in 2023 was Donsö. Over the course of 3 days, 2,900 delegates from 40 countries gathered to discuss shipping and shipping related topics. 100 shipping companies and 270 exhibiting suppliers came to lend their perspectives, make new connections and forge new business opportunities. By the end of the day, on August 29, 2,100 seated guests enjoyed a three-course meal at the Banquet dinner, where Triple & Touch, Ntombie Shobede, the Star Choir and the Ocean Vocals from Donsö, performed. The Banquet dinner hosts more guests than the Nobel banquet dinner in the Stockholm City Hall!
