TGE Marine supports DSM2025 as Silver Sponsor. What contributed to make this decision?
We have always attended DSM over the years in some capacity, but this year, we are making a conscious effort to showcase our capabilities in the market. Our current involvement with the building of the Celsius vessel has given us a good platform to speak about the importance of vessel design and its equipment for a safe and efficient vessel. We were already looking at increasing our marketing activities around the event, and a sponsorship gives us an opportunity to reach the right audiences with our activities.

What makes DSM different from other exhibitions in your opinion?
It’s intentionality. It is a smaller event than other ‘must attend’ industry events, but we know from experience that this event delivers quality connections and content.

What are your expectations for DSM2025
To connect with current and potential customers to share our capabilities in the industry, as well as hear from our contacts about their experiences and plans. A nice evening on the island also wouldn’t go amiss!

What is your best memory from DSM2023?
It is impossible to not mention the fantastic location on Donsö Island, in addition it must be highlighted that the hospitality and enthusiasm from the locals is unprecedented from other exhibitions. It is also great that it is focusing on the interaction between the shipping industry at Donsö and suppliers and not about having suppliers showing off glossy and extravagant booths.

What do you find are the opportunities and challenges in the Shipping Industry today?
The challenge in the industry is to ensure that companies are aware of all the different factors that may affect the industry and decisions. Whether it’s regulations, rules, or guidelines, all must be considered before embarking on a new project. The opportunities within the industry are to do with developing on what can be done. Exploring alternative solutions and ensuring that your investment is viable and fit for purpose.

How would you describe DSM in one sentence?
Must attend event.

And finally, do you prefer a sail or a motorboat for recreation, and why so?

Motorboat, but mostly because I like engines!
