New Swedish attendance record in women's football
18,537 fans in the stands became reality when Hammarby IF hosted AIK in a classic Stockholm derby in the OBOS Damallsvenskan. A new Swedish club team record in women's football has thus been set, after breaking the previous record from 2008 of 9413 people.
Hammarby IF won the match with 4-1 and the goal scorer and club star star Emma Jansson was both proud and grateful after the match:

- It feels absolutely fantastic. For me personally, this has been a goal for many, many years and we as a club have worked purposefully to get here. That we are now finally here and breaking this record is a milestone for me, for Hammarby Football and Swedish football in general.

- We will follow the plan we already have, will have to be the quite boring answer. Our long-term work to strengthen the position of our ladies' elite section continues, but at the same time we can only hope that today's audience party contributes to us being able to speed up that journey. Hammarby IF and AIK are two classic big clubs that both have established themselves in the top league OBOS Damallsvenskan and second league Elitettan. For the 2021 season, both teams advanced from Elitettan to OBOS Damallsvenskan and have both made a real audience journey during the past seasons. In terms of tables, Hammarby IF is in fifth place after today's win, while AIK has had an even tougher season and is in place eleven out of twelve possible.
