Emballator acquires Hannells pail and can production in Sweden.

Emballator metal Group is pleased to announce that it has acquired the can and pail production Division from Hannells Industries in Sweden. The acquisition was completed on 17th November 2008 in Sweden.

The Emballator metal Group has grown dramatically in recent years and this acquisition will position Emballator as the leading can maker in Northern Europe. Mr Ulf Segerqvist Group CEO at Emballator said "Both parties have identified the need for consolidation in the Scandinavian can making industry and this allows both Companies to focus on their core businesses whilst also delivering benefits to our customers, so it's a win win situation".

Emballator will continue production for one year at Hannells premises but will then move production at the end of 2009 to Emballator in Ulricehamn, Sweden.

Hannells will continue the growth of their main business - Industrial Packaging. Mr Urban Månsson, Managing Director of Hannells said, " we are selling our can and pail production so that we can concentrate our growth into Industrial Packaging where we are already successful."
