E.ON Sverige växer runt Stockholm

E.ON Sverige övertar fjärrvärmeverksamheten i Söderköping, Trosa, Vallentuna, Vaxholm och Österåker. Detta efter en uppgörelse med Lantbrukskredit AB. - Det här är en möjlighet för oss att expandera i ett intressant område, säger Anders Östlund, affärsområdeschef E.ON Sverige. Vi har redan i dag en omfattande fjärrvärmeverksamhet i Stockholmsområdet och i Östergötland. - Vårt första mål med de nya enheterna är att öka kundnöjdheten och visa vilket utmärkt uppvärmningsalternativ fjärrvärme är. De förvärvade anläggningarna har sammanlagt cirka 20 anställda och en total årsproduktion på 210 GWh, allt baserat på biobränslen. E.ON Sverige befäster därmed sin ställning som landets näst största leverantör av fjärrvärme. - Det är tillfredsställande att den nya ägaren är en etablerad aktör inom energibranschen med uttalad miljöfokus, säger Kjell Stillman, ordförande i Lantbrukskredit. För att öka effektiviteten i anläggningarna kommer E.ON Sverige att göra omfattande investeringar. Övertagandet är beräknat ske under början av mars 2006. Köpet är villkorat av ett godkännande av konkurrensmyndigheterna. Utsänt av: E.ON Sverige AB (Publ) Kommunikation Johan Aspegren E.ON Sverige expandes in the Stockholm area Following an agreement with Lantbrukskredit AB, E.ON Sverige is taking over district-heat operations in the municipalities of Söderköping, Trosa, Vallentuna Vaxholm and Österåker, all close to Stockholm. “This is an opportunity for us to expand in an attractive area,” comments Anders Östlund, President of E.ON Sverige’s Heat and Waste business sector. “We already conduct extensive district-heat operations in the Stockholm area and in Östergötland. “Our initial goal with the new units will be to increase customer satisfaction and demonstrate the excellence of district heat as an alternative form of heating.” Combined, the acquired units have 20 employees and account for total annual production of 210 GWh, all based on biofuel. Through this transaction, E.ON Sverige will consolidate its position as Sweden’s second-largest supplier of district heat. “It is gratifying that the new owner is an established player within the energy sector, and has a distinct environmental focus,” says Kjell Stillman, Chairman of Lantbrukskredit AB. E.ON Sverige plans to make extensive investments to increase the efficiency of the district heat plants. Formal transfer of ownership is expected to take place at the beginning of March 2006.
