Expando appoints Carl-Johan Runer as new CEO

Expando AB, a leading provider of rugged systems and advanced electronics for the defence and space industries, announces that Carl-Johan Runer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Runer succeeds the current CEO, Otto Johnsson, who will transition to the role of Senior Advisor within the company. Johnsson will remain fully engaged in Expando’s operations and development, focusing on supporting the leadership team and continuing to contribute his many years of experience and industry knowledge. This leadership change is a natural part of the company’s long-term development.

Extensive international experience
Carl-Johan Runer brings more than two decades of experience from international technology and innovation companies. Most recently, he served as VP Business Development at Expando, where in recent months he has led efforts to strengthen the company’s customer offering in rugged edge computing and advanced electronic components.

His background spans both entrepreneur-led growth companies and international expansion journeys, experience that will be highly valuable as Expando enters its next phase.

Expansion and future plans
