The first round of the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria is complete
50 pairs from different nations took on the challenging course, designed by Frank Rothenberger (GER), in collaboration with Fredrik Malm (SWE) and Philipp Schwender (GER), and 14 of them made it around the course with a clear round.
The starting field in todays first part of the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria welcomed 50 pairs, divided in two parts with 25 riders in each, with a short break in between.
Of the first 25 riders before the break, seven of them made it around the course with a clear round - among them the Swedish riders Amanda Eriksson and Henrik Von Eckermann.
After the short break, it was time for the last 25 of the 50 pairs to enter the arena - and the first one out was last years winner Sanda Auffarth, together with Quirici H. Unfortunately, Auffarth had one pole down, making the chances for competing in the second round low, with 24 of the worlds best riders starting after her.
In the second part of the first round, 6 pairs made it around the course without any faults. After this opening round, the competition remains tight at the top. Only the 13 best pairs will continue to the second round, starting at 16:25.
