Twenty combinations lined up for Falsterbo Horse Show's most iconic class, with several former Derby winners returning in pursuit of another title. The demanding course once again demonstrated why the Falsterbo Derby remains one of the most prestigious and beloved competitions on the international show jumping calendar.

Swedish favourite Peder Fredricson was the first to produce a faultless round, much to the delight of the home crowd. Belgium's Abdel Saïd also jumped clear, guaranteeing a jump-off. Last to go in the opening round was Switzerland's Martin Fuchs, who also delivered a clear round to make it three riders returning for the decisive jump-off.

Peder Fredricson was first to return and once again produced a clear round in a fast time. Abdel Saïd also jumped double clear but was unable to match the Swede's pace.

Last into the arena was Martin Fuchs. Under pressure to beat Fredricson's time, the Swiss rider delivered another flawless performance and stopped the clock 0.95 seconds faster, securing victory in the 2026 Falsterbo Derby.

–Peder put us under pressure with his fast round. I knew I had to be quick, but my horse is naturally fast, and I had a little bit of luck in the jump-off. It's the first time I've won this historic Derby. Going in as the last rider and beating 'the Swedish hero' was a special moment, said Martin Fuchs after the class.

With the victory, Martin Fuchs adds his name to the prestigious list of Falsterbo Derby champions, where it will now be engraved on the famous Falsterbo Derby Trophy. He also joins an exclusive group of riders to have won the Agria Falsterbo Nations Cup, the Falsterbo Grand Prix, and the Falsterbo Derby at one of the sport's most iconic venues.
