FANUC and Volvo Cars have signed a global contract that sets out a programme of robot supply to the automotive manufacturer’s plants across the globe. The contract will see FANUC provide industrial robots for all the various production shops included in a modern car manufacturing facility, including new battery production facilities in Europe, Asia and America.
In August 2023, FANUC Corporation celebrated a significant milestone in the automation industry by producing its one-millionth industrial robot. FANUC supplies customers worldwide with CNC-systems, robots and machine tools, and is a pioneer in factory automation. FANUC deployed its first own produced robot in 1974. Today, thousands of robots build new robots in FANUC's own factories in Japan.
FANUC Europe Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Marco Ghirardello as the new President and CEO. Ghirardello succeeds Shinichi Tanzawa, who has been leading the company since 2016 and will return to FANUC Headquarter for a new assignment. His contribution to FANUC Europe over the past years is highly appreciated.
