Karin Apelman joins the new European sustainability forum

Karin Apelman, CEO and secretary general of FAR, has been appointed as a member of the European professional organization Accountancy Europe’s new Sustainable Finance Group.

“Sustainability is one of the most important issues for the future and it is natural that we as a professional organization actively participate at the international level. Our profession is an important player in the long-term strengthening of business and society, both locally and globally”, says Karin Apelman.

Accountancy Europe, ACE, is the European Association of 51 Professional Organizations from 37 countries, representing about one million professional accountants, auditors and advisors. The organization is an important body for lobbying regulatory and policy issues vital to the profession, such as auditing, sustainability, transparency, ethics and tax issues.
