Flower enters strategic partnership for residential batteries

Together with the Swedish distribution partner for renewable energy projects, Senergia, Flower takes an important step towards a reliable and flexible fossil-free energy system.

Our new partnership is boosting opportunities for homeowners to leverage the potential for flexibility within batteries and solar.

Senergia and Flower contribute significantly to the energy transition by combining flexibility and support services for more efficient utilization of the electricity system. Flower's technology enables the aggregation and optimization of flexible resources in the electricity system to contribute most effectively to increased profitability for those who have invested in an energy storage system.

Through the collaboration between Senergia and Flower, solar installers gain access to the Flower Hub product, with software that, with the help of AI, controls the battery's charging and discharging. Flower's unique software optimizes batteries across multiple markets simultaneously (multi-market optimization), maximizing the return on investment (ROI) for those investing in an energy storage system. With the new optimization service, the electricity system can quickly balance when demand for electricity varies, benefiting both consumers and green electricity production.

"By combining Flower's software and Senergia's hardware from leading manufacturers of energy storage solutions, new opportunities open up for our network of installers. For the end customer and battery owner, the investment calculation becomes very advantageous, promoting investments in both solar energy and batteries," says Tim Ljunggren, CTO, and co-founder of Senergia.

Flower's developed software and statistical models allow, among other things, solar energy installations with batteries to actively participate in the electricity system. Flower is approved by Svenska Kraftnät as a provider of support services.

"From the start, the collaboration with Senergia has demonstrated a shared desire to create excellent products that enable the energy transition. The combination of Senergia's and Flower's expertise provides a strong platform to achieve a lot. Flower has consistently appreciated Senergia as a knowledgeable and leading partner in the wholesale sector with a broad base of installers and their focus on educating market players as the market changes. For us, it's a win-win-win partnership with Senergia, the installer, and the end customer," says John Diklev, CEO & founder of Flower.

Flower - Energizing tomorrow

We enable the energy system of tomorrow by combining pioneering technology with flexible assets, allowing clean energy to power society

The energy system of tomorrow relies on a high share of renewable energy production, and with that comes a new set of uncertainties. Grid owners, producers and consumers are all affected by these uncertainties, and enabling that system relies on stability in grid frequency, prices and volume. Combining and solving these problems is what we call flexibility.
