FundedByMe success story Yoogaia receives €500K in VC funding

FundedByMe’s strategic decision to focus mainly on business building crowdfunding has proven to be a success: In July 2014, the Finnish interactive yoga platform Yoogaia successfully closed their crowdfunding round via FundedByMe at €100K. Only three months later they succeeded to attract one of the leading venture capital firms in the Nordics, Inventure, and raised €500K for further development and expansions.

”Our mission is to provide a financial service that creates a stair for the companies to climb upwards in the eco system of funding”, says Daniel Daboczy, CEO and co-founder of FundedByMe. “That Yoogaia received this investment is a proof that equity crowdfunding via FundedByMe is a trustworthy and effective tool to validate an idea, a team or an execution.”

FundedByMe today offers both equity- and reward based crowdfunding. Before the end of Q4 2014, the company aims to launch a loan based crowdfunding product in Sweden and thereby offer a full spectrum of crowd investment services. Since the launching of equity crowdfunding in 2012 FundedByMe has closed 42 such cases in Europe and Asia. In total, FundedByMe has raised over €6M in thousands of campaigns since 2011.

“Business builders choose us because they know that we provide a platform where entrepreneurs are able meet with professional investors in the easiest possible way. Having their trust is the core of our business”, says Daboczy.
