FundedByMe and The Springfield Project announces new partnership to boost growth of Swedish start-ups

Stockholm, 15th of October, 2015

Crowdfunding-platform FundedByMe enters new partnership with investor Springfield in order to elevate Swedish growth companies

Today, FundedByMe and investor Springfield announces their partnership with the purpose of giving Swedish growth companies more access to capital and the necessary network needed for a company to grow.

The agreement means that Springfield initially dedicates two places in their accelerator program to companies planning to raise funds through FundedByMe within a year. The companies will be granted full access to Springfield’s premises, receive support by Investment Managers and an initial capital injection up to 500 000 SEK.

In parallel with the accelerator program launch, the companies will start preparing for a larger capital raise through FundedByMe. The intention is for Springfield to take on the lead investor role, with the possibility to conduct an A-round together with investors from the global network of FundedByMe.

“For Springfield, this is a natural step to take” says Anna Settman, founder and CEO of Springfield. “We want to ensure that our growth companies have access to capital, business expertise and networks for further expansion. Together with FundedByMe, we can provide a great springboard for those companies to accelerate from”. “We are convinced that crowdfunding is the future and a strong complement to more traditional investments”.

“We are very happy about partnering with Springfield” says Daniel Daboczy, founder and CEO of FundedByMe. “This partnership is an important step in establishing crowdfunding as an outstanding funding alternative for growth companies, a way to achieve quick market valuation and to engage people passionate about helping your company succeed, working as the growth engine of your company. The partnership also provides our investors with unique possibilities to get on board early on in the life of successful growth companies.”

Applications for the Springfield Project are accepted until the beginning of November. Springfield meets entrepreneurs continuously, apply now on www.thespringfieldproject.se
