Stena Line, a prominent European ferry operator, has forged a strategic alliance with Generation Waste to enhance its sustainability commitments by streamlining and reducing onboard food waste on its vessels.

With a strong commitment to reducing ecological impact and promoting sustainability in maritime operations, Stena Line chooses to implement Generation Waste's service to streamline the management of food waste. Generation Waste is well-known for its innovative solutions that integrate technology to optimize processes and minimize adverse environmental effects.

‘’ We are delighted to engage in collaboration with Stena Line and contribute to their vision of reducing food waste at sea. Our service is intricately crafted to optimize recycling efforts and minimize onboard food waste across the fleet of ships’’, says, Per Hjalmarö, CEO, of Generation Waste.

Through this partnership, Stena Line anticipates a significant reduction in food waste, manages leftover food better, and treats waste in a way that's good for the environment on its ships. This is a crucial step in their pursuit of becoming an even more sustainable player in the maritime industry, says, Niclas Lilja, Group Restaurants & Bars Manager at Stena Line.
