Gernandt & Danielsson advised Alecta Fastigheter in connection with divestment of Midstar hotel portfolio
Midstar Hotels AB, owned by a consortium of Alecta Fastigheter, Kåpan, PRI Pensionsgaranti, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and Midstar AB, has successfully divested Midstar Fastigheter AB, a leading pan-Nordic property company focusing solely on hotel real estate investments, to a consortium led by CapMan Hotels II.
The hotel portfolio comprises of 28 hotels with a total of 4,709 rooms with assets located in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and is the largest hotel transaction ever in the Nordics. The transaction substantially broadens and diversifies CapMan Hotels II’s existing hotel portfolio by adding assets located in metropolitan areas such as Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Olso, together with strategically positioned regional hotels in key markets.
