Gernandt & Danielsson advises Scandi Standard in connection with the acquisition of Glenhaven Foods and rights issue
On 30 July 2026, Scandi Standard AB (publ) announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Glenhaven Foods, one of Ireland's market-leading producers of frozen breaded chicken products, at an enterprise value of EUR 127 million.
On the same day, the board of directors of Scandi Standard resolved on a rights issue of approximately SEK 408 million to finance the acquisition. The rights issue is subject to the approval by an extraordinary general meeting. Larger shareholders, who in aggregate control approximately 63 per cent of all shares and votes in the company, have undertaken to vote in favour of the rights issue as well as to subscribe for their respective pro rata shares and guarantee subscription for the remaining part of the rights issue.
