Press release -

GWS’ jointly owned subsidiary Travelogix Ltd exceeds goals for the first six-months

Global Warning System (GWS) acquired 51% of the shares in Travelogix Ltd (Travelogix) in January 2016, a UK-based company specialized in developing and selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions for processing travel data in order to reduce costs for corporate travel managers. After six months Travelogix shows a strong development in terms of revenue, profit and goal fulfillment.

GWS’ Safeture service concept is a personal travel security service, which provides critical information directly in the traveler’s smartphone. It delivers important information and alerts in real time about the actual location, giving service and safety while traveling. With the acquisition of Travelogix, GWS wanted to further strengthen their technical platform and sales proposition, by integrating the knowhow of processing travel data. Technical and commercial goals were set jointly at the beginning of the year. Chris Lewis, the founder and CEO of Travelogix, now gives a highlight of the achievements during the first semester:

“Travelogix has realized eight new contract wins since January 2016, three of which can be considered significant in terms of revenue and the customer profile. In terms of growth plans, international growth is still a primary objective. We continue to focus on developing the Asia Pacific Market, where demand for big-data solutions is now prominent, a strategy that is also working well with the overall expansion strategy for GWS. We have invested in new premises, recruitment and business development, but we have controlled these costs well and our performance has been positive. Versus forecast we are on target in terms of revenue and ahead of our profit target by 60%.”

The partnership with GWS is expected to yield additional revenue for both parties and growth internationally for Travelogix. Integration work for the GWS Safeture platform is proceeding and both companies have agreed a cross license agreement that will see Travelogix resell Safeture Pro and GWS resell the Analytix suite of products. The cross license agreement will allow Travelogix to extend its product portfolio and give its clients access to a product that is in high demand, whilst giving access to new markets via the GWS partnership.

Andreas Rodman, CEO of GWS, comments on the development of the acquisition and Travelogix:

“We can see many positive signs like financial figures and market research confirming that the Travelogix brand and its solutions are widely recognized and demanded. I strongly believe that the Travelogix team, coupled with the growing base of clients and the cutting-edge technology will realize further significant growth by the end of financial year 2016 and beyond.”
