Sustainable Business Virtual Live Classroom

The SSE MBA has started a collaboration on ethics and sustainable business with the Financial Times, Technische Universität München in Germany, Foreign Trade University in Vietnam, African School of Economics in Benin, and the Darden School of Business in the USA.

The collaboration involves using current news articles published in the Financial Times, and discussing them in real-time with students in Stockholm, München, Hanoi, Akassato and Charlottesville on the SSE MBA Island in the virtual life platform Second Life.

“This in an exciting new way to bring voices together on global sustainable business issues across the world and to further improve on our learning and education. Without physically traveling, we will be able to meet and discuss major events pertaining to business and sustainability with business students around the world, thus supporting our students better and prepare them for their future careers in a more complex and globalized world,” said Lin Lerpold, Associate Dean, Stockholm School of Economics.

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is the leading business school in Northern Europe. For more than a century, SSE has educated talented women and men for leading positions within the business community and the public sector.
