Inom ramen för programmet Kommunalt partnerskap beviljas 18 projekt i 12 svenska kommuner eller regioner. De svenska kommuner/regioner som fått sin ansökningar beviljade är: Arvika, Borlänge, Gotland, Härryda, Kalix, Sjuhärad, Skellefteå, Sundsvall, Vänersborg, Västernorrland, Växjö och Upplands-Bro.
Det är i år 100 år sedan Sverige fick allmän rösträtt och kvinnor fick för första gången rösta i de allmänna valen. Ett sätt att vara en förespråkare för mänskliga rättigheter och ge stöd för de som kämpar en ojämn kamp mot ett auktoritärt ledarskap är att gå och rösta i EU-valet den 26 maj. För oss på Internationellt Centrum för Lokal Demokrati, ICLD, ser vi det som en självklarhet att verka för mänskliga rättigheter. Tyvärr ser verkligheten annorlunda ut och det bryts mot dessa varje sekund.
