Invest Sweden will attract investments from Brazil

Invest Sweden, (formerly Invest in Sweden Agency) the Swedish agency for foreign direct investment will establish a new office in Sao Paulo, the leading commercial city of Brazil. The Swedish Foreign Department dedicates extra grants to increase the Swedish investment promoting activities in one of the most important growth markets. 
 
- Brazil is a very important growth market. Through Invest Sweden we aim to strengthen the Swedish investment promotion activities in Brazil, something we believe will lead to increased business cooperation between the countries, and to the creation of new jobs, states Ms. Ewa Björling, Minister for Trade to the Swedish Government.  
 
The decision is taken by the Government at the same time as a large Swedish trade delegation visits Brazil. The delegation includes, among others, the Swedish King and Queen, leading representatives of a number of large Swedish corporations and the Director General of Invest Sweden, Mr. Per-Erik Sandlund. During the visit he will also sign memoranda of understanding with a number of Brazilian industry organizations.
 
- An important part of the Invest Sweden business strategy is to efficiently get established on new markets with high potential for growth. We believe that Brazil has a huge potential when it comes to the investment driven internationalization of Swedish companies. Our mission is to supply Swedish companies with important resources such as capital and competence, and now look forward to doing this from Brazil as well as from the markets where we are already established, states Per-Erik Sandlund, Director General of Invest Sweden.
