Salzburgring next on the calendar for Jessica Bäckman

June 17-19th,  ADAC TCR Germany and its participants enters another Austrian track, this time Salzburgring. The Sweden National team driver Jessica Bäckman is charged for another race weekend.
- Salzburgring is a new track for me, very fast track with a lot of long straights and few corners. Therefore it will be extra important to make sure all the corners are driven perfectly to be able to be in the front of the field. I’m looking forward to the weekend, Jessica Bäckman says.

Structure of the ADAC TCR Germany series
The 2022 season in ADAC TCR Germany consists of five races in Germany and two races in Austria. The series is one of the toughest TCR series in the world and has a high status of drivers who come from several different countries around Europe. The start of the season was on the Oschersleben track in Germany where Jessica got her first victory of the season, and will end on the well-known Formula 1 track Hockenheimring. In addition to the Hockenheimring, the world famous Formula 1 track Nürburgring and Red Bull Ring will also be on the 2022 calendar. At Red Bull Ring Jessica drove home 2 out of 2 wins. Each race weekend is built of two free practice sessions on Friday, one time qualifying on Saturday which determines the starting position in Race 1 on Saturday, and one time qualifying on Sunday which determines the starting position in Race 2 on Sunday. Points are awarded to the top 10 in the time qualifyings and the top 15 in each race. The driver with the most points after the last race at the Hockenheimring at the end of October will take home the driver title "ADAC TCR Germany Drivers Title" in the ADAC TCR Germany series.

Good start to the season
Upcoming weekend, it's time for the third round of ADAC TCR Germany at the Salzburgring track in Austria. Jessica is looking forward to competing again after the successful season premiere at the Oschersleben track in Germany and a successful second round at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, with a total of 3 out of 4 wins.
- I got a super start in the season premiere with my first win, which I then followed up with two more wins at the Red Bull Ring. Now, of course, I aim to try to resume the same result again by fighting for the top positions, Jessica Bäckman says.

New track for Jessica
Salzburgring is a race track located a few miles east of Salzburg in Austria. The track is 4,225 kilometers long and the fastest lap on the track was set by Mick Dohan on a Honda 500cc motorcycle with a time of 1,17,126. A Formula 1 car would complete the track in less than a minute. The track was opened in 1968 and has a simple design, where two straight sections are linked by slow corners, as well as a couple of technical sections.
- Salzburgring is a new track for me, very fast track with a lot of long straights and few corners. Therefore it will be extra important to make sure all the corners are driven perfectly to be able to be in the front of the field. I’m looking forward to the weekend, Jessica Bäckman says.
