Marketplace Community: Sara Seidou
My name is Sara Seidou
I am 45 years old and I work as a nurse at Sachsska barnsjukhuset. I am a single mother of two children aged 12 and 15. We live in a condominium in Sickla. I run a company, Etsiswimwear that focuses on swimwear and bikinis. I do this via my website and social media.
Our concept is inspired by African prints and we have an idea that everyone should be able to wear our swimwear regardless of body type.
That is why we have a wide range of sizes for everyone. Broadly speaking, I have been doing this since 2014.
To be able to speed up my business, a store would be perfect because consumers can come in and test my products. This is something that would attract more consumers and increase the demand for our bikinis and swimwear. In my industry, summer has a great influence and due to the short summer in Sweden, it can be tough to get the company to go around during the months they are not summer.
I see Marketplace STHLM as an asset that will lift me as an entrepreneur and make my brand and company flourish.
Some words on the influence of the pandemic
Covid 19 has affected us all in different ways when I work in healthcare, so I had to pause the company and work more in the hospital, then you have lost a lot of income and finances get worse.
But now we are up and running again slowly but surely, I will reach my goal and dream.
I draw inspiration from everything that surrounds me in everyday life as well as memories from the past, of these beautiful Wax fabrics that have meaning and significance in Africa
