28 Mars släpper MÄRVEL sitt 4:e album, Hadal Zone Express. Titeln har beskrivits av gitarristen och sångaren, The King, som hans egen tolkning av “Highway To Hell”. Det är ett okontrollerat rusande tåg rakt ner mot dom djupaste områdena av Hades. Rakt ner i underjorden. Det är inte mysigt och varmt, inte heller skimrande o ljust. Det är mörkt och svart, blött och fyllt med melankoli och bitterljuva historier. Det är ett rått ställe. Ett ställe som du ögonblickligen kommer att älska.

Så spänn fast nitbältet, vi dyker nedåt. Djupt ner, och snabbt.

På Märvel ́s fjärde album beslutade sig bandet för att försöka återskapa sig själva, att utforska sitt låtskrivande till det yttersta, och för att karva fram 11 nya låtar av perfektion. Rock ́n ́roll - perfektion. Efter år av turnerande i Europa och förfinande av sin liveenergi, tre album under bältet och ungefär 10 års existens, kändes det naturligt att vrida rattarna ett extra varv. Lägg till den råa energi och fantastiska spelstil som bassisten The Burgher (medlem sedan tre år men medverkar för första gången på album här) adderar, så känns det bara självklart att det pirrar till lite i kroppen av upphetsning.

Mörker i all sin prakt, men det här albumet är också ur många aspekter det klarast skimrande och tightaste framförda trion någonsin gjort. Strategin när man gick in i studion var att fånga de tre instrumenten så realistiskt som möjligt, och att hålla alla extra pålägg till ett minimum. Det har betytt en hel del förfinande och omarbetande av riff och rytm -arrangemang för att få varje instrument att lysa precis som tänkt. På samma gång har bandet jobbat mycket på att expandera vokala arrangemang och harmonier, för att få fram ett brett och stort perfekt rock sound.

I det här jobbet har Märvel lyckats klämma in allt du gillar med rock n roll genom historien, och format det till sitt egna, numera klassiska och högenergiska, Märvel sound. Som vanligt kommer du le åt influenser från 70-talets glam och shock rock, 60-talets soulmelodier och 80-talets allra finaste hårdrocksposer, men denna gång gör dom även sällskap av en hel del power pop och västkust-rock från sent 70-tal och tidigt 80-tal.

Precis som med förra albumet, är Hadal Zone Express inspelat i White Light Studios, av Joakim Kärling, och producerat av bandet själva tillsammans med Kärling. Första singeln, Remember, släpps på iTunes/Spotify den 28 februari.

March 28:th MÄRVEL will release their 4:th album, Hadal Zone Express.The title has been described by guitarist and singer, The King, as his own version of “Highway To Hell”. It ́s a fast paced roller-coaster down into the darkest realms of Hades. Into the Underworld. It ́s not cozy and warm, nor shiny and bright. It ́s dark and blue, filled with melancholy and bittersweet stories. It ́s a hard place, and one which you will instantaneously come to love.

So buckle up, we ́re going down. Deep down. Fast.

On Märvel ́s fourth album, the band decided to try and re-invent themselves, to explore the deeper realms of their songwriting capabilities, and to craft 11 new songs to perfection. A rock ́n ́roll perfection that is. With years of touring around Europe honing their skills, three albums
under their belt, and close to ten years in existence, it felt right to try and twist the knobs one

extra turn. Add to that all the new and raw energy from bass player The Burgher, who has been with the band for three years but not yet recorded an album, and it ́s only natural to get a bit excited.

Dark and all, this album is in many aspects the most shimmering and tight one yet from the trio. The approach going in to the studio, was to capture the three instruments as true as possible, and not to add unnecessary instrumental overdubs. This also meant re-hashing riffs and rhythm patterns until each instrument popped exactly as wanted. What you ́ll hear is indeed a power trio. At the same time, the band worked hard on vocal harmony arrangements, to add a wideness and that perfect, big, sound.

While doing this, the band has managed to squeeze in everything you love from the rock history into their very own, now classic, high energy Märvel sound. As always, you will smile at influences from the mid 70 ́s glam and shock rock, the 60 ́s soul melodies and the very best of the 80 ́s heavy metal poses. But, this time around, there are also also echoes from the late 70 ́s and early 80 ́s power pop and west coast yacht rock.

As with their last album, Hadal Zone Express is recorded in White Light Studios, by Joakim Kärling, and produced by the band together with Kärling. The first single, Remember, from the album will be released on iTunes/Spotify February 28:th.
