Communication, contradictions and collisions – the beauty of coming together with different perspectives

The Master's students in art at Konstfack wish you a warm welcome to our first year exhibition BREAD FOR THE INSTITUTION.

Opening Friday, 6 March, 5–8 pm.
Performance at 6 pm: Composition by Johan Pihlanen – Interpreted by Zakarias Knigge, Ida Lunden and Nicklas Lundberg. The performance will also take place at the finissage Friday 13 March at 6 pm (4–7).

To be precise, the conditions for this group exhibition are shaped by the realization that we need to come together, and we did. As we present a mix of media like sculpture, installations, video, painting, and more, we strive to give space to each artwork. Every individual artist has worked and pushed to bring you a different perspective or point of view on reality. Inevitably, these perspectives and points of view will contradict and collide in this type of master exhibition. That's the exciting thing about it all, that individual works of art will communicate with each other. In that equation, new perspectives and viewpoints will be created, whether we as artists like it or not. A multitude of expressions will be seen, heard and felt, which hopefully leaves us all with a heightened sensitivity to everything.

Artists: Alexander Bäckman, Amelia Woroszyl, Andor Gonzalez Margalef, Cariz Nordlöf, Dan Grönlund, Emma Aarflot, Emy Welin, Erik Ernsäter, Fanny Saga, Heaven Hailay Feday, Ida Lundén, Jon Nicklas Lundberg, Melissa Johansson, Sanna S and Zakarias Knigge

The exhibition is open in Vita Havet and Black Box at Konstfack until 13 March, Saturday, Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday 12–7 pm.
